Going Paperless with ADHD

50. Why B- work is more motivating than A+ work

Aiming for a perfect outcome seems like it would be motivating. Except, when you obviously don't hit it, it feels de-motivating because you're "not there yet, can't release it because it's not good enough", and none of your work ever sees the light of day.

It seems counterintuitive to aim for doing less-good work, work that gets you an 80%, a B-, but it actually makes you get MORE done, AND it's more motivating, because it makes you want to go do more stuff.

B- work that gets released is better than A+ work that never sees the light of day.
